LEAD1 Summer Intern Class Announced

Emily McMillan and McKay Snyder recently joined the Association as graphic design and research analyst interns, respectively.

The LEAD1 Association has announced its 2019 summer intern class. Emily McMillan and McKay Snyder recently joined the Association as graphic design and research analyst interns, respectively.

McMillan joined LEAD1 after spending the past two years as a graduate athletics communications assistant at Missouri State University. She led efforts to design all digital and social media content for Missouri State during her two-year tenure, including the top-15 interactions nationally for the Lady Bears during their Sweet 16 run. McMillan spent a year at the Big 12 Conference as the Will Hancock Communications Assistant and coordinated 10 major championships and events, including the 2017 NCAA Women’s Final Four. She received her master’s degree in Professional Studies from Missouri State and her undergraduate degree in Communications Studies from Kansas State.

Snyder is pursuing a master’s degree in Sport Management at George Washington University and works as an operations and analytics manager for the GW men’s basketball team. He has also spent time as a basketball operations intern at Koa Sports in Bethesda, Maryland. Snyder interned in the House of Representatives for Rep. Brian Greene in the Utah State Legislature during his time at BYU, and served a two-year mission trip to Arequipa, Peru. He is a 2018 graduate of BYU with a bachelor’s in arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish.
